Rebecca Jane Baley

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, in Christ the King Catholic Church in Milwaukie for Gilbert R. "Gil" Baley and Rebecca Jane Baley. Mr. Baley died April 21 of a heart attack at age 68; Mrs. Baley died April 23 of a heart attack at age 60. Recitation of the rosary and vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 28, in Mt. Scott Funeral Home.

Mr. Baley was born Nov. 14, 1937, in Bremerton, Wash. He moved in 1962 to Portland and owned Gil's Truck Repair in Portland for about 20 years. He served in the Navy Reserves.

Rebecca Jane Knight was born June 14, 1945, in Portland, and raised in Hermiston and Lincoln City. She returned in 1962 to Portland and was a medical assistant for Pacific Oncology and Hematology for more than 10 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Baley were married in 1973. They moved in 1980 to Milwaukie and were members of the church for more than 25 years.

Survivors include their sons, Dane, Mark and Matthew; daughters, Melissa Gauthier and Rhesa Carley; and six grandchildren. Mr. Baley also is survived by his sisters, Jan Baley and Lorelie Miller. Mrs. Baley is survived by her sisters, Susan Welborn and Heather Hetzler; and brother, Craig Vinton.
